Real Estate client looking to hire a highly qualified, super experienced Construction Manager for a large property will manage the project from the ground up.
As the leader of the project, the construction manager will ensure that all manner of work is carried out efficiently and with utmost skill. Responsible for seeing the construction project through from start to finish, including scheduling, coordinating, and hiring the right workers for the current job. Supervise the construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction, making sure that the project gets completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities will include laying foundations, erecting the structural framework, floors, walls, roofs, and building systems. Including protecting against fire installing electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and heating systems. also manage the selection of general contractors and trade contractors to complete specific phases of the project—which could include everything from structural metalworking, plumbing, painting, to installing electricity and carpeting.
Will need to have a professional demeanor.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in construction science, construction management, building science, or civil engineering, ideal. However, years of experience, in addition to taking classes in the field or getting an associate’s degree, can substitute for a bachelor’s degree. Practical construction experience is very important for entering this occupation.
